I saw Knowing (2009) again last night and it is still one of the best film depictions of the overall Phenomenon, imo. The plot includes human-like NHIs (look like Nordics, maybe MIBs), mental downloads, synchronicities, trauma, using children to "pass on the alien message" and the big one: a warning about a future cataclysm (in this case, a solar flare). I just got out of the cinema after watching Disclosure Day, and while the whole thing was great, the last 20 or so minutes really stuck with me. Specifically, that sequence where the small local news channel starts to break the news. I won't spoil anything, but the clue is obviously in the title.
