The Mayon Volcano footage deserves a more rigorous explanation than “probably a satellite”. For context, Mayon is an active volcano in Albay province on Luzon, near Legazpi City in the Philippines. At 10:33 p.m. on 25 May 2026, cameras captured a green meteor streaking above the volcano. PHIVOLCS later determined that it disintegrated in the atmosphere rather than hitting the slopes.
