[Serious] possible AI/Energy motivation for disclosure?

This notion just came to me while i read a comment elsewhere saying that AGI will never happen because we'll never have the amount of compute / energy needed to fuel it. I immediately thought: "well maybe we already have unlimited clean energy back-engineered from recovered alien craft..." And then immediately after that, i thought: "wait WHAT?" And then... What if THAT'S the reason for the relatively sudden push for disclosure? They know AI is advancing at such a pace that AGI is imminent an...
