Do Mothmen go through a cocoon phase?

I hope so because that means I could be a Mothman one day. I grew up an hour away from Point Pleasant. I've always wished I had wings ever since I was little (instinct?) I also have strong feelings I could be telepathic. Mothmen have red eyes, I have red hair. That last one is a stretch, but maybe it changes in the cocoon.
