I think it is time to completely shake this Star Trek-esque idea of ships being "piloted" by biological lifeforms. It is not the case that there are Greys (nor w/e your fav "race" is ) flying around in ships, piloting them, as born entities. No there are not even clones or "drones" actively piloting anything. All craft-like phenomena are being maneuvered by "sentient non-biological intelligence". Calling it "artificial intelligence" would be inaccurate, but it is the simplest way to understan...
