Probed Analysis

Darcy Weir is a Canadian documentary filmmaker based in Vancouver who has produced independent films about UFOs, paranormal phenomena and cryptids since 2012. He is best known for Dark Alliance and its 2026 sequel, Dark Alliance: The Next Generation, which examine the secret space program stories promoted by David Wilcock, Corey Goode and other figures on the New Age conference and streaming circuit.

According to his professional profile, Weir holds a bachelor's degree in film and sociology from Saint Mary's University and a film and television production diploma from Trebas, has worked in information technology support alongside his filmmaking, and runs a company called Indie Film Global. His films are distributed through video-on-demand services. His credits include Beyond the Spectrum: Humanoids (2019), built around material from Mexican journalist Jaime Maussan; Who Saw the Men in Black? (2021); The Psychic Phenomenon (2025), featuring physicist Russell Targ; and Pascagoula 73 (2025), a docuseries on the 1973 Pascagoula abduction reported by Charles Hickson and Calvin Parker that draws on the raw sheriff's department interrogation audio.

The Dark Alliance films are investigations rather than endorsements. The first traced the rise of Goode and his partnership with Wilcock on the Gaia streaming network. The Next Generation follows a wider group of men who say they served in secret space programs, were age-regressed into younger bodies, fought reptilian beings and lived on Mars, and it looks at the researchers who vouch for them and at Gaia, which The Good Trouble Show put at 500,000 to 600,000 paid subscribers a year. Weir has described the scene he documents as a lucrative business that distorts serious UAP discussion, and he has linked an AI-generated "medbed" video briefly posted to Donald Trump's Truth Social account to the same subculture.

That work made him a regular guest across UAP media in 2026. He discussed The Next Generation with Matt Ford on The Good Trouble Show in May, and Richard Dolan released segments of their conversations on Pascagoula, the Men in Black, transmedium objects reported off Puerto Rico and claimed anomalies during early spaceflight. On September 29 he appeared with Ross Coulthart on NewsNation's Reality Check in an episode on the so-called real secret space program, and in October he told the Danny Jones Podcast about recent Iranian UFO footage, the 1976 Tehran encounter and the account of Gary McKinnon, the British hacker who says he saw a photo of a cigar-shaped craft in NASA files, which Weir treats as different from other secret space program claims.

Weir's significance lies in that dual position. He has spent more than a decade making films for the same audience that consumes extraordinary UFO claims, and his best-known work turns that experience on one of the genre's most commercially successful branches. As a result he has become one of the main documentary sources on how the secret space program narrative was built, sold and spread to a large paying audience.

Pascagoula, 1973, remains one of the most thoroughly documented close encounters on record. I sat down with filmmaker Darcy Weir to go through the evidence, including the raw, unedited sheriff's department interrogation audio. 📺Watch the conversation here. https://t.co/Kc5nWudG8j
