My friend films these lights from her house every day. I made a supercut using several videos recorded on different days. They usually start showing up at around 11 PM, and by roughly midnight the “show” is over. There are no mountains on the horizon. It’s all city at first, and then eventually just farmland, so the whole area is completely flat. There are no airports in that direction either, and in any case, they don’t behave like planes.
