I tend to lean towards the idea that “gods mating with human women” (to create the Nephilim) had more to do with genetic engineering. To me, the “gods” sound like some extraterrestrial species. They came from the sky and had a more in depth understanding of how to manipulate this physical reality, so on paper they sounded god-like. But while they had “supernatural” powers, they were probably just more technologically advanced. They definitely didn’t conduct themselves like all-loving beings....
