Arthur G. Stansel was a real engineer whose background broadly matched the technical role he claimed to have performed at an alleged May 1953 recovery near Kingman, Arizona. In 1973, under the pseudonym “Fritz Werner,” he signed an affidavit describing an apparently undamaged metallic object and one dead occupant. That affidavit is not proof.
