Christopher Mellon is a former federal intelligence official and an outspoken advocate for deeper transparency and investigation into unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs). During the Clinton and George W. Bush administrations he held senior posts, including Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and later Minority Staff Director on the Senate Intelligence Committee. His career has bridged high-level oversight of black-budget defense/intelligence programs and public engagement on UAPs—making him a key interlocutor when claims of covert programs or recovered “non-human” materials surface.
Mellon has acknowledged the gravity of whistleblower affidavits and policy debates, while stopping short of definitive proof where records are lacking.
Over time, Mellon has become increasingly involved in legislative and public scrutiny of UFO-related government activity. He has reportedly referred witnesses to the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) alleging knowledge of a “reverse engineering program” analyzing materials from off-world craft—claims that remain unverified outside their presentations. He also helped drive congressional language, repeatedly, that mandates transfer of UAP records to the National Archives, and he’s expressed criticism that federal reports have been “seriously flawed” for failing to properly evaluate whistleblower disclosures. He played a role in bringing some of the Navy’s UAP videos (such as FLIR, GIMBAL, GOFAST) into public view.
In recent signals, Mellon’s voice has intersected with executive-level UAP policy shifts. His past articulated concerns about intelligence failure align with directives ordering release of UFO/UAP/alien files from the Department of Defense and other agencies. At the same time, his commentary relates to provisions included in the Fiscal Year 2026 National Defense Authorization Act that continue Congress’s pattern, since 2020, of legislative pressure on unexplained aerial phenomena oversight and disclosure.
Open questions in evaluating Mellon’s role include whether his referred witnesses’ evidence will translate into formally declassified materials, the degree to which U.S. special access programs alleged in claims overlap with officially acknowledged programs, and—in light of executive orders releasing documents—the timeline and scope of what is released.
From the article: "SCU members include an international assortment of scientists who have worked for prominent universities, technology and defence firms, as well as NASA, the Canadian Space Agency and the European Space Agency. At the conference, the UFO phenomena will be dissected from the perspective of physics, aerospace engineering and even philosophy and anthropology. Mellon shares top billing with former U.S. air force scientist Randy Bostick, who previously advised the Pentagon’s UFO...

I’m not suggesting the character WAS based on Mellon.. but I just finished the Taken series last night and it hit me! They are just way too similar, eh? What do you guys think?

UAP Gerb on Christopher Mellon advocating for sensor data in UAP transparency push: "Why is UFO retrieval, exploitation, and reverse engineering, for which you have advocated transparency in the past, taking a backseat to a handful of specific sensor data?"
Yes. Lue Elizondo is a whistleblower. And if anything, the 2016–2020 UAP inflection period shows he was not alone. A small group of people each helped move this issue from fringe to legitimate public inquiry. My short list: Sen. Harry Reid Christopher Mellon Lue Elizondo Leslie Kean et al. Cmdr. David Fravor George Knapp James Fox Tom DeLonge / TTSA Sen. Marco Rubio #UAPInflection #UFO #UAP [Quoted] 😎🤘 It has been nearly two years since hero & whistleblower Lue Elizondo @LueElizondo testifi...

Notice how Mellon has a ? in that slide and "claims" are used a few times? Whoever interviews him next can ask, or he can answer here: Mr. @ChrisKMellon, what is your opinion on whether or not the USG or its contractors are in possession of non-human materials? Chances, in your opinion? 10%? 50%? 90%?

RT @ChrisKMellon: @UAPGERB Congress has repeatedly asked about crash debris etc. and the answer is always the same, “We don’t know what you…

Mellon knows people who believe 100% that the USG and/or its contractors have materials and craft from a non-human intelligence. But, he also knows this... "I can tell you that there are senior Pentagon people who do not believe that there's any crash material [and] do think that this is all bogus." ~@ChrisKMellon in Barcelona (People like to ignore this from Mellon but I won't. I shared similar comments from him at this same conference back when he said it but the post did crappy because a l...
Mellon responded. 😯 https://t.co/P09wFEV05b [Quoted] Thank you for your response! I am encouraged and believe this sort of thoughtful answer is excellent for discourse on the topic. I do have a response to you crafted, though I would like to ask you to discuss your point of view and politely debate this topic in a video-recorded, https://t.co/n6NnU6hsRX
