I saw Knowing (2009) again last night and it is still one of the best film depictions of the overall Phenomenon, imo. The plot includes human-like NHIs (look like Nordics, maybe MIBs), mental downloads, synchronicities, trauma, using children to "pass on the alien message" and the big one: a warning about a future cataclysm (in this case, a solar flare).
