The UFO over Vranov, sometimes also called the incident over Vranov, is the most famous and at the same time probably the most serious incident of the observation of an unidentified flying object over Czech territory. This incident took place on July 12, 1987 above the Vranov water reservoir, which was full of visitors. The 51st helicopter regiment was ordered to pursue the object.
