A UAP sighting is an observation of an object or apparent phenomenon that remains unidentified at the time it is reported. The term does not describe a single kind of thing and does not imply an extraterrestrial origin. Reports may begin with a pilot's visual account, radar track, infrared image, civilian video, or a combination of sources. They range from brief points of light to structured objects and unusual motion, but the quality of the underlying information varies widely.
Modern official reporting emphasizes that identification is a data problem. The All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office records time, location, altitude, shape, sensor type, and flight behavior when those fields are available. Its published trends show that many closed cases resolve as balloons, satellites, aircraft, birds, drones, or sensor artifacts. A smaller group remains open chiefly because the observation lacks enough information for a confident determination, not because an extraordinary cause has been established.
Some sightings matter because trained observers and multiple instruments recorded them in sensitive airspace. Military encounters represented in Sensor Evidence & Military Video helped move the subject from informal UFO reporting into aviation safety, intelligence, and congressional oversight. Even then, apparent speed or acceleration can be distorted by viewing geometry, platform motion, range uncertainty, glare, and incomplete metadata. A compelling image is therefore only one part of a case.
The enduring record combines resolved incidents, genuinely ambiguous observations, folklore, deliberate hoaxes, and cases that cannot be reconstructed. UAP & National Security concerns arise when an object enters restricted airspace or exposes surveillance gaps regardless of its identity. The strongest sighting records preserve original files, instrument settings, witness timing, weather, and chain of custody so later analysts can test ordinary and unusual explanations against the same evidence.
Two Government Accountability Office (GAO) officials are reportedly visiting military facilities across the country to interview service members about UAP sightings, how their bases handled those reports, whether witnesses were treated respectfully, and whether the Pentagon’s UAP office (AARO) properly documented their accounts. Los Angeles is considered to be a UFO “hotspot”, and I’ve been filming and researching orb uap-ufo in the area since my first major sighting in 2013. Over time I have filmed several orb uap at a distance of between 500 to 1000 feet above. I’ve seen posts of civilian ufo/uap sightings increase over the years.
