Amy Catherine Eskridge was an American researcher and entrepreneur based in Huntsville, Alabama, whose work ranged across chemistry, biology, materials, and speculative propulsion. She graduated from the University of Alabama in Huntsville with degrees in chemistry and biology and continued studying electrical engineering, physics, genetics, and nanotechnology. Her interests eventually converged on gravity modification, metamaterials, quantum computing, and other technologies often discussed under anti-gravity research.
Eskridge worked with her father, retired NASA plasma physicist Richard Eskridge, through HoloChron Engineering and the Institute for Exotic Science. In a 2018 presentation, they reviewed historical gravity-control experiments and described proposed engineering paths toward unconventional propulsion. Her public talks mixed literature review, theoretical ideas, and claims about classified research; they did not amount to a published demonstration of a working antigravity device. That difference is important because her ambitions were unusually broad while the public technical record remained preliminary.
In interviews, Eskridge said she wanted to make her work public and alleged that she had experienced harassment, break-ins, and directed-energy attacks. She died from a gunshot wound in Huntsville on June 11, 2022, at age 34. Her death was officially ruled a suicide. Later writers and associates argued that it was suspicious and connected it to her research, but those allegations have not been substantiated by publicly released police, autopsy, or court records.
Eskridge’s posthumous place in the UAP field comes from the overlap between her research interests, her own warnings, and broader allegations about intimidation of people working near advanced aerospace subjects. Her life is more accurately understood as that of an early-career scientist trying to build an independent research program in exotic propulsion, not as proof that any claimed technology or conspiracy existed. The unresolved public documentation around her death has made careful attribution especially necessary whenever her story is retold.
