Probed Analysis

Jimmy Carter served as the 39th President of the United States from 1977 to 1981, after a lifetime rooted in Georgia’s peanut farms and engineering education. He navigated his presidency through challenges like the Iran hostage crisis and energy policy struggles, and after leaving office, gained international respect for his work in diplomacy, human rights, and peacebuilding. He won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2002 in recognition of his decades of conflict mediation, election observation, and humanitarian outreach. Amid these pursuits, Carter has also been a voice urging greater openness from the U.S. government concerning Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP).

He has referenced his own observations of anomalous lights in the sky before his presidency, encouraged declassification of UFO-related records, and aligned with advocates who argue that transparency serves both national security and public trust.

Before entering elected office, Carter served in the U.S. Navy, then managed his family’s business, and later became governor of Georgia. His background combined small-town roots and technical training. As president, he pushed for human rights in foreign policy, created the Department of Energy, and brokered the Camp David Accords between Israel and Egypt.

After his presidency, he founded the Carter Center, which oversees initiatives ranging from disease eradication to election monitoring. These post-presidential activities fortified his image as a principled elder statesman committed to moral clarity and civic accountability.

Carter’s role in UAP disclosure is grounded in both personal experience and public advocacy. He has, on several occasions, claimed to have seen unusual aerial lights himself, before taking public office. These personal reports are combined with repeated calls for the U.S. government to release documents related to UFO sightings and investigations. He has urged that institutions share what they know, so scholars, journalists, and citizens can evaluate the phenomena without relying on rumor or speculation.

While he has not overseen any official UAP investigations in recent years, Carter’s position adds weight because of his former office and reputation for candor.

Among the things Carter has explicitly supported are:

  • Full declassification of federal UFO files, especially those related to incidents involving military or civilian observers.
  • Transparent reporting of radar, photographic, or video evidence, with accounting for potential misidentification or environmental effects.
  • Legislative oversight of UFO-related programs to ensure democratic accountability.

Some of Carter’s claims about his own observations remain anecdotal, based on memory and personal testimony, rather than backed by declassified documentation. He has sometimes said he believes governments are withholding certain data, though the specific nature of that data is not always detailed in public statements. These elements sit between what is reported and what is verified.

Jimmy Carter remains relevant in discussions of disclosure partly because of his stature—former president, Nobel laureate, longtime advocate for human rights—and partly because his advocacy bridges personal curiosity with broader systemic demands. When people ask not just if UFOs or UAP are real, but what governments know, his voice represents a mixture of moral urgency and practical demand for evidence. In that space, Carter stands as a reminder that transparency is not merely for enthusiasts—it is tied to democratic norms, public trust, and governance.

Only recently has it come to mind what he might have to say, regarding the last month or so. May the man rest in peace. Much respect to him however, one must wonder what he was told and the relevance to anything disclosed this week. No I am not saying we had disclosure, no im not saying this was even close to the big one today but short of the 2004 video clip, this has to be the biggest development for disclosure now that people can basically openly admit to almost anything. As a Catholic it...

This is a question based in a lot of speculation. I'm also not incredibly familiar with existing UFO, UAP, and alien conspiracy knowledge, but I am deeply interested as to why not even like a clear picture of a spacecraft can come out because we all know they have a lot more than grainy photos and videos from decades ago. I remember hearing that Jimmy Carter cried, or prayed or something when he got briefed on UFO stuff, which just feeds my interest. Are they so advanced that we will be blown...

Rep. Tim Burchett: "When they told Jimmy Carter the truth about UFO's & Aliens....He cried" 👽🛸😱 What could be so scary? He told Joe Rogan that presidents are kept on a need to know basis for UFO information. Burchett also shared that when they told Jimmy Carter the truth about UFOs he cried. Carter had even seen a UFO himself while on a Navy sub. What do you think was so shocking that it brought a president to tears? Are our leaders still being kept in the dark on this?
