During the early 1990s, Puerto Rican UFO investigator Jorge Martín Miranda published two separate photographic cases from El Yunque, each presented as showing a strange creature in the rainforest of eastern Puerto Rico The first set was credited to José Benítez and taken along the trail leading toward Monte Britton. The second was photographed by Joaquín Ruiz with a camera belonging to his friend Nelson Berríos at La Mina Falls in March 1993.
