Nikola Tesla was a Serbian-American inventor and electrical engineer whose work helped establish alternating-current power systems, induction motors, high-voltage experimentation, and early radio technology. His genuine inventions make later legends unusually persuasive, but they should not be merged with achievements he never demonstrated.
