In 1991, Robert Colee was working at his telecommunications company, Global Communications Group, in Georgia, with his business partner John Sullivan when a shipment of RCA power supplies arrived damaged. They took out a Polaroid camera to document the condition of the equipment for an insurance claim. During that process, Sullivan accidentally snapped a photograph inside the lab.
