On July 2, 1952, Navy Chief Warrant Officer Delbert Newhouse, a photographer with more than 1,000 hours of aerial photography experience, filmed 12 to 14 bright objects near Tremonton, Utah. The newly released Blue Book file rates him honest and reliable. Reviewers in late December 1952 leaned toward seabirds or pillow balloons supplied by General Mills Research Laboratories.
