John Herrington Calls Alien Meltdown Story 'Total BS' in Response to Brent Friedman Claims

The current discourse centers on a claim by Hollywood writer/producer Brent Friedman concerning a dinner he allegedly had with John Herrington, Ronald Reagan's former energy secretary, in 1981. Friedman has reportedly recounted this event as part of UFO lore. However, Herrington has publicly refuted Friedman's narrative, describing it as "total BS" in a statement tracked by Ben Schreckinger for the "Signs of Life" series. This claim and its refutation have been widely circulated and commented on across social media platforms, primarily through retweets of Schreckinger's reporting. The situation is driven largely by social media reactions and commentary rather than new investigative reporting or corroborated evidence.
