The Shamanic Receiver Hypothesis: Did Ancient Cultures Select Neurodivergent Minds for Contact?

TL;DR: Ancient cultures may have identified people with unusual sensory, cognitive, and trance-related traits, then trained them as shamans, prophets, or oracles. If telepathy or NHI contact is possible, some neurodivergent people, including perhaps a subset of autistic people, could be unusually receptive.
