Probed Analysis

Eric Burlison is the U.S. Representative for Missouri’s 7th Congressional District. A Republican, he assumed office in January 2023 after serving in both the Missouri House of Representatives and the Missouri Senate. He holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and an MBA from Missouri State University and previously worked in software consulting and investment advising.

Burlison has been one of the more active members of Congress on UAP transparency issues. He has repeatedly called for greater oversight of UAP-related records and programs, including allegations involving legacy programs, crash-retrieval efforts, and the role of defense contractors. In 2025, he introduced the UAP Disclosure Act as an amendment to the FY2026 National Defense Authorization Act. In June 2026, he submitted an amendment to the FY2027 defense bill, H.R. 8800, proposing to strengthen the UAP Records Collection at the National Archives, create an independent UAP Records Review Board, and require government agencies to identify, organize, and transmit relevant records. The amendment was cosponsored by Reps. Eli Crane and Andre Carson.

Burlison serves on the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability and is listed as a member of the UAP Caucus. He has used oversight hearings to question the withholding of UAP information from Congress and has publicly presented video footage, including footage described as showing a U.S. Hellfire missile striking an unidentified object. While he has said government briefings have lent some credence to claims of classified UAP programs, he has also emphasized that he has not seen conclusive evidence that any retrieved craft are extraterrestrial in origin. His public positions have focused primarily on institutional transparency, congressional oversight, and declassification processes rather than endorsing a specific explanation for the phenomena.

Rep. Eric Burlison says the fight for UFO transparency is far from over. According to Burlison, public pressure will be critical to ensuring key UAP Disclosure language remains in the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). If those provisions are stripped out, Congress risks losing one of its strongest tools for compelling testimony and records related to legacy UAP programs. Disclosure isn't just happening behind closed doors. It's being shaped in real time through legislation, and the p...

I never plan to tweet this much - and I think it hurts my engagement - but when I see stuff I wanna comment on, I'm gonna go do it. I think Kirkpatrick is correct. There's not much new with the Lukas memo and Trump directive. But, I do NOT agree that this is all for show for @RepEricBurlison. I think he'd love to get to the truth and have (almost) everything released, but he has limited ability and power to do so. So, for now, he'll play along and praise the current "transparency" by the Trum...
