PoliticianEric Burlison is an American Republican politician who represented southwest Missouri in the state legislature before winning election to the U.S. House in 2022. In Congress he joined the Oversight and Accountability Committee, where he became one of the lawmakers most actively pursuing classified briefings, witnesses, and records related to unidentified anomalous phenomena.
Before Congress, Burlison worked in software and business and served for years in the Missouri legislature, where he developed a reputation as a limited-government conservative. His technical background shapes the granular way he approaches alleged programs, sensors, contracting structures, and physical performance claims. In Washington he has used both public hearings and classified briefings to pursue the issue, becoming one of the lawmakers most willing to discuss how his own views changed as he encountered additional witnesses.
