Geoff Cruickshank is an Australian UAP-history researcher based in Darwin who publishes analyses of declassified and leaked records on Substack and appears regularly on Ross Coulthart's NewsNation program. Long known on Reddit's UFO forums by the username harry_is_white_hot, he went public in August 2024, and in 2026 he became one of the most active independent readers of the Department of War's PURSUE record releases.
Cruickshank describes himself as an energy and security professional with an information-technology degree and membership in the IEEE, and says he worked as a contractor for Boeing Defence Australia supporting the Australian Defence Force. NewsNation has introduced him as a former Australian intelligence official, but it has not named an agency or role, and his own published biography does not mention one. His username refers to Harry Turner, the Australian defence scientist whose 1971 assessment of American UFO investigations he has studied.
His debut on Coulthart's show concerned President Kennedy and what he calls Operation Palladium, an alleged Cold War program to inject false signals into Soviet air defenses, which he links to CIA scientist David Lamar Christ. In April 2026 he and lawyer Jed Davis discussed the Majestic-12 papers on the same program; the FBI called those documents bogus in 1988, and most researchers regard them as fabrications. He has also written about the 1962 Bluegill Triple Prime high-altitude nuclear test over Johnston Island, arguing that an unidentified object was brought down and examined by a Navy diver, and he released a recorded conversation on the case with former government adviser Harald Malmgren. No official record confirms a shootdown.
The 2026 releases gave him new material. He analyzed foreign-government UFO reporting from Canada, Britain, Sweden, and Australia in the third tranche, argued that an infrared satellite clip shows a V-shaped formation over Chinese installations in the Spratly Islands that may be Chinese assets, highlighted a 1949 Los Alamos conference record, and wrote that Australia's official UFO policy amounted to deferring to Washington.
Cruickshank's significance lies in how closely he reads documents. His threads and articles often set the terms of community debate about new releases, while his biggest claims, about Palladium, Majestic-12, and Bluegill, rest on interpretation of contested or partial records rather than on official confirmation.
