Mayk Leão is a Brazilian content creator from the state of Paraná who posts about rescuing and raising animals on a rural property in Campo Largo, near Curitiba. He became widely known in Brazil and in English-language UFO forums after May 31, 2026, when he filmed lights over a wooded hillside near his home and described them as a giant spaceship, setting off the Paraná UFO case.
Leão, who was 31 at the time, worked as a nursing technician before leaving that job to make online content full time. His videos show daily life on a smallholding where he says he keeps about 280 animals, some taken in through an animal-rescue group he works with. About a year before the sighting, a video of a chick born with a black mark above its eyes went viral, and he has said he appeared on Ana Maria Braga's TV Globo program. He had roughly 40,000 Instagram followers before the UFO videos.
In posts on May 31 he described agitated animals, a knocked-down electric fence, unfamiliar noises from the woods and the roof, and then blinking lights on a ridge. He told g1 he had no doubt the object was extraterrestrial technology, and within days his following passed two million. The Brazilian Air Force said through its airspace control department that defense radars identified no object that day and that airspace control was normal.
The federal intelligence agency ABIN said it had not contacted him and did not recognize a document about the case circulating online. Leão denied that the videos were promotion for Steven Spielberg's Disclosure Day, which opened in Brazil that month. On June 6, YouTuber Henrique Pereira filmed a campsite near the property and argued that its night lighting matched the lights in the footage. Leão rejected that explanation, saying he had seen other lights and that people were making content to discredit him.
Leão said he received insults and threats as the story spread, and the civil police opened an inquiry into the threats. His team announced on June 9 that he would step away from social media; he returned two days later with an animal-welfare post that did not mention the sighting. His most-viewed video passed 16 million views, and the episode showed how quickly a rural creator's footage could reach national television and international UFO forums.

He also points to what appears to be a fire or bonfire in the middle and says there are “a bunch of people” in that area. I included that later video as source #6.
