In March 1975, photographer Giichi Shioda reported a series of strange sightings near a coastal landfill in Kawanoe, Ehime Prefecture, Japan. On March 24, he saw a small hovering object or figure while suffering a severe headache. On March 30, he returned and observed a pink luminous object hovering for about 30 seconds before disappearing. On March 31, Shioda returned with several cameras and a tripod.
