My cat joined the interview. https://t.co/ctSzAqhvCn [Quoted] Asked whether their pre-Sputnik transient findings point to something watching the planet, astrophysicist @DrBeaVillarroel and Vanderbilt professor Dr. Stephen Bruehl give @rosscoulthart their answers. Mapping the Palomar transient hotspots | Reality Check
Ross Coulthart speaks with Dr. Beatriz Villarroel and Dr. Stephen Bruehl, whose paper suggests something in near-Earth space was flashing sunlight onto the photographic plates at Palomar Observatory years before Sputnik ever reached orbit.
[Retweeted] NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman suggested sightings of unidentified anomalous phenomena might signal another 'Sputnik Moment' looming on the horizon for the United States. https://t.co/xcv7w8nYzf
NASA chief Jared Isaacman said the United States might be headed towards another "Sputnik Moment" with UFOs and wants to stay "open minded." "If it's aliens, I think NASA should have a seat at the table." https://t.co/fuLhi1Ynjo https://t.co/9JKcAlSNp4

The head of NASA was asked if any of the UAP could be extraterrestrial. “It could be a Sputnik moment. But let me tell you this…” Enceladus and Europa have oceans and complex chemistry. “We couldn’t tell you conclusively that there isn’t life in our own backyard.” https://t.co/OOktDh44FP
[Retweeted] This is important. NBC News is now covering the research by Beatriz Villarroel and Stephen Bruehl examining mysterious astronomical transients photographed before the launch of Sputnik. Their peer-reviewed research found statistically significant associations between these transients, nuclear weapons tests and historical UAP reports. We still don’t know what these objects or flashes represent, and that is exactly why this research matters. For decades, the possible connection betw...

In November 1957, amateur astronomer Ralph E. Nicholson photographed three unidentified flying objects from the roof of his home in Paterson, New Jersey, while attempting to photograph one of the Sputnik satellites. The photographs were circulated by UFO researcher and photographer August C. Roberts and appeared in several UFO publications. Roberts later referred to the three images collectively as “The Nicholson Photos.”

This Project Blue Book video from 1952 is more compelling than any of the modern videos released by the Department of War thus far. IMO. Remember, this is pre-Sputnik. @DrBeaVillarroel 👀👀 https://t.co/MOQVRVIOHz
