Being made of Light

Hey everyone, been wondering about something and figured I’d ask here. Anyone ever come across the idea of interdimensional beings made of pure light or energy? Like the concept that they could travel between dimensions or realities, show up briefly in our world without taking human form, appear as glowing figures or orbs, maybe communicate or pass on info, and possibly open up some kind of portal in space-time. not saying I believe it’s real or anything, just genuinely curious.
