All this new woo woo tie in with consciousness and religion is making me question everything as a lifelong atheist.

I'll just say that modern religion has been absolutely tainted by humans and people with their own agenda, but every culture from all parts of the planet are more or less telling a similar story. I'm starting to think the ancient aliens theory is real. I am starting to think that religion is trying to explain something that has been otherwise beyond our comprehension and we are just now developing the tools to detect some weird shit. Anyone else?
