Probed Analysis

To the Stars Academy of Arts & Science (commonly known as TTSA or simply To The Stars) is an organization founded in 2017 by Tom DeLonge (musician and former member of Blink-182), CIA veteran Jim Semivan, and parapsychologist Harold E. Puthoff. Originally structured as a private benefit corporation, the stated purpose was to investigate Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAPs), pursue advanced aerospace and materials research, and push for disclosure—making visible what had been largely relegated to secrecy. Over time, its combination of entertainment, science, and aerospace arms allowed it to catalyze public awareness through media and alleged government interest.

It matters not only for its claims but also for its role in bringing UAP discussions into Congress and mainstream media.

From its start, TTSA has published three videos—often referred to by names like FLIR1, Gimbal, and GoFast—purportedly captured by U.S. Navy or military pilots. These videos, according to TTSA, reveal objects exhibiting flight behavior or detecting signatures that challenge conventional understanding of aircraft. Some of these clips have since been acknowledged as authentic by U.S. military authorities.

Such releases have been central to TTSA’s visibility and have pressured federal agencies to formally recognize and report on aerial anomalies.

Parallel to its media-based disclosure efforts, TTSA has pursued research into exotic materials under its “ADAM” (Acquisition & Data Analysis of Materials) program. The organization claims to have acquired samples of alleged “exotic” or anomalous materials—described internally as having structures not identifiable with “existing military or commercial applications.” TTSA has said it has entered into a cooperative research agreement with the U.S. Army to test and validate these materials in areas like metamaterials, waveguides, beamed energy propulsion, active camouflage, and other frontier scientific topics. The degree of transparency around chain of custody and scientific peer validation has been questioned in press and scientific commentary.

TTSA’s identity has shifted over time. In 2022, it rebranded as To The Stars Inc., reflecting a change in emphasis away from some ambitious scientific programs toward entertainment and media production. Its creative output includes books, graphic novels (such as the Sekret Machines series), television series (including Unidentified: Inside America’s UFO Investigation), and planned film and documentary projects. These media components have been central to the organization’s funding strategy, public profile, and influence.

skeptics argue that TTSA overpromised in areas like spacecraft development or reverse-engineering alien technology, and that some materials presented as “exotic” may ultimately be traceable to more prosaic sources. Supporters point out that TTSA has accomplished what few private groups had: compelling official acknowledgments, creating conversations at legislative levels, and bringing formerly classified military footage into public discourse.

TTSA persists as a controversial but consequential actor where science, advocacy, and media intersect around UAPs. Its mix of government contracting, public campaigning, and storytelling means its future depends as much on credibility and evidence as on narrative and exposure.

Jim Semivan - Former CIA officer: "The government may have encountered something truly exotic with UFO's" 👽🛸 "The phenomenon may involve something far beyond conventional technology." UAPs behave unlike any known aircraft, and encounters can affect human consciousness and perception. Semivan, who co founded To The Stars Academy, stresses people should be extremely careful attempting direct contact. The deeper you go, the more cautious the warnings become - this may not be simply extraterres...

Lue Elizondo says General McCasland’s disappearance is unlikely related to UFOs “There was a lot of discussion when I was at To The Stars Academy, that he was an advisor on, that he was talking to Podesta and some other individuals over email about Disclosure and UFOs and https://t.co/mtn1vv5I4D

Nice to see CNN finally cover McCasland but where did @Chris__Boyette get this from? "McCasland worked with To The Stars, Inc., a company co-founded by Blink-182 musician Tom DeLonge." AFAIK, he advised @tomdelonge, and helped him put his advisory team together, but he did NOT https://t.co/lzojp8wiLE [Quoted] From @CNN: McCasland held some of the most sensitive positions in the US military, according to the Air Force.
