Remember the Alien Autopsy film? It was presented as real, then later revealed to be a hoax. Then there's The McPherson Tape by Dean Alioto. It was always intended as fiction, yet many viewers believed it was genuine found footage. Dean eventually had to publicly explain that it wasn't real. It's an interesting contrast.
