Jon T. Kosloski is an American intelligence official with a technical background in engineering, research, and emerging technologies. Before leading the government’s UAP office, he held positions within the National Security Agency and worked on advanced research relevant to national-security missions. The Department of Defense appointed him director of the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office in August 2024.
Kosloski’s professional formation combined scientific education with a career inside the intelligence community. He worked on advanced research and mission problems before moving into senior roles that required technical judgment across classified systems. Taking over AARO placed him in a different kind of position: he became not only an analyst and manager but also the public representative of an office expected to answer Congress, reassure service members, and explain why some cases remained unresolved.
As director, Kosloski is responsible for an office that receives military and intelligence reports, resolves cases, investigates alleged historical programs, and briefs Congress.
