Kristian Harloff is an online entertainment host and podcast producer, originally from New York and based in Los Angeles. He built his career in movie news and criticism on YouTube, chiefly through the Schmoes Know shows and Collider's video channel, and in February 2024 he launched Down to Earth With Kristian Harloff, a channel and podcast devoted to UAP news and the disclosure debate.

According to a profile by the microphone maker RØDE, Harloff got into podcasting through Adam Carolla as the format was taking off. With co-host Mark Ellis he fronted the Schmoes Know movie shows, built on reviews, industry news and debate between friends, and RØDE reported that Schmoes Know and Collider were the first YouTube film critics certified by Rotten Tomatoes. The same profile credits him with creating Collider Live!, a daily entertainment news panel, alongside shows such as Collider Jedi Council and the interview series 1 on 1 with Kristian Harloff. He appeared as a guest critic on Screen Junkies' Movie Fights, and with Scott Porch he is credited as an executive producer of Josh Horowitz's Happy Sad Confused podcast for Big IP Media.

Down to Earth applies that news-commentary format to UAPs. Its channel trailer promises to approach the subject "from an average Joe's point of view," and its first videos explained who David Grusch and Lue Elizondo were. The channel posts short reactions to the day's headlines alongside a weekly long-form podcast, which had passed 500 episodes by October 2026. Through 2026 it covered the UAP efforts of Representatives Eric Burlison and Anna Paulina Luna, the government's UAP file releases and Avi Loeb's August call for immunity for UFO whistleblowers. In June he posted a first reaction after an early screening of Steven Spielberg's Disclosure Day.

In May 2026 Harloff appeared on NewsNation's podcast Unreported with Meagan Medick, where the network framed his view as disclosure coming from civilians and whistleblowers rather than from the government. In a clip from the episode he said he was "not a fan" of the skeptic Mick West, comparing him to a critic who hates every Marvel film before seeing it and calling his approach "a shtick," while conceding that West might be right about particular cases. West replied on X that Harloff could "always talk to me" to clear up misconceptions about his work.

Harloff runs Down to Earth alongside a pop culture and comedy show under his own name. In August 2026 he announced Trending, a crowdfunded comedy pilot that he said Emmy-winning producer Andrew Fried would direct and produce, with a Kickstarter campaign scheduled for late September. His place in UAP media is that of a commentator rather than a researcher: he brought roughly a decade of entertainment broadcasting and an established online audience to steady, headline-by-headline coverage of the disclosure story.
