Narrative

NUFORC just published an investigation into a previously unknown 1967 radar incident. A retired USAF radar tech from Fortuna AFS (ND) reported tracking an object moving ~5,000 mph in jumps across the scope, too fast for his FPS-26 height finder to lock onto. AFOSI showed up the next day and ordered everyone to stay quiet. Timing lines up with the Minot (March 5) and Malmstrom (March 16) nuclear missile shutdown cases.
