Astral Projection refers to experiences or claims in which a person perceives their consciousness to separate from their physical body, navigating external or non-physical realms. It has attracted attention both in parapsychology and UAP-adjacent research through discussions such as the CIA-reviewed Gateway Process, which reputedly examines altered states of consciousness. Its significance lies in its potential intersection with claims of paranormal perception, remote witnessing of anomalous phenomena, and consciousness-based interpretations of unidentified aerial phenomena.
On-record, the Gateway Process is a declassified CIA document that reportedly explores techniques—including breathing patterns, sound layering, and focus meditation—intended to induce out-of-body experiences or expansions of awareness. Adherents assert that through such protocols one might observe or interact with phenomena outside physical senses. That such documentation comes from or is examined by intelligence agencies lends Astral Projection (in UAP discourse) a degree of credence among some analysts wary of purely fringe claims.
Reported claims around Astral Projection generally include:
- Perceiving distant or inaccessible locations during trance or meditative states.
- Encountered luminous or non-physical entities, sometimes characterized as interdimensional or UAP‐like.
- Recording information about physical events otherwise unknown to the individual during projection.
Those claims remain highly contested. Skeptics attribute reported experiences to lucid dreaming, hallucination, neurological anomalies, or psychological suggestion. Empirical verification—such as physical measurements or independent corroboration—remains sparse or anecdotal.
Open questions include whether Astral Projection experiences can yield verifiable intelligence on UAP events; whether consistent protocols can reproduce similar perceptual claims; and whether neurological or quantum‐mechanical frameworks might explain or debunk the phenomenon.
Astral Projection sits at a locus where esoteric tradition, intelligence analysis, and consciousness studies overlap. Its relevance to UAP lore is not established through signals of reliable evidence, but rather through claimed introspective and experiential testimony that has been referenced within declassified or intelligence-reviewed material.

If you watch the docs and read up you'll find that many experiencers have out of body experiences following contact with aliens. This suggests that the ETs are using the astral to get here and to do some of the stuff they do like levitate ppl and various mind control stuff.
Let me preface with this- aside from a somewhat “colorful” lifestory I am a regular person. I am a mother of 6 and a wife. I live a quiet, humble life with my primary focus being raising my children. When I was 22 years old in 2012, I had an experience that still sticks with me, and i still have no way of explaining. I had an out of body experience from a completely conscious and lucid state in which i communicated with a non-human entity that very much resembled the caricature of “aliens” we...
