Wouldn't it make sense that we don't see any signs of life through the way how we currently observe the universe, but could see NHI tech on Earth, because of Relativity?

Prof. Brian Cox: "Carl Sagan said all civilisations destroy themselves at the stage we are at" He warns that civilizations like ours may never reach the stars because we destroy ourselves first. When you industrialize as a civilization you hit problems which are probably common to all civilizations. We're approaching that filter and it could be we don't pass through it. This is one of the leading explanations for the Fermi Paradox: the eerie silence of the universe despite its vastness. Advan...

So, seeing a bunch of astrophysicists saying that they don't believe NHI has visited, we don't see any signs of life out in the universe currently, the question of the Fermi Paradox, etc. But with Einsteins theory of relativity and how we, as humans observe the universe through photons and wave lengths, doesn't it make sense that we aren't seeing any signs of life because what we're seeing in the sky/through our current tech is the past? The information we are digesting from these planets and...

Alien Probes, the Fermi Paradox, and What We’re Missing with Paul Gilster

Elon Musk on the Fermi Paradox: “The tiny candle of consciousness that constitutes humanity is all that there is in this vast darkness.” He asks “Where are the aliens?” and admits “I have seen no evidence whatsoever of aliens.” Musk says this may be the most likely answer. We should assume we’re it until proven otherwise. If humanity really is the only light in the cosmos, does that change everything for us? Are we prepared to carry that responsibility? What’s your take? Are we truly alone?
