S4: The Bob Lazar Story is a 2026 documentary directed by Luigi Vendittelli and narrated around Bob Lazar. Released on Amazon Video on April 3, it reconstructs Lazar’s account of work at a concealed installation near Papoose Lake. The production uses detailed dramatic recreations to visualize rooms, security procedures, test flights, and technology that were never publicly filmed.
The film returns to the story Lazar first told journalist George Knapp in 1989: that he was hired to examine one of several recovered craft at S4, south of Area 51. He described a “Sport Model,” gravity emitters, and a reactor fueled by Element 115. The element was later synthesized in laboratories as moscovium, but its known isotopes decay rapidly and do not demonstrate the stable fuel Lazar described.
Vendittelli presents Lazar’s narrative with new interviews and a physical reconstruction intended to make its internal details visible. That approach can clarify what Lazar says he saw, but accurate production design is not independent verification that the facility or craft existed. Disputes over Lazar’s education, employment records, chronology, and absence of inspectable material remain central to reception of the film.
S4 is significant as a work profile because it turns one of ufology’s most influential testimonies into an immersive visual record nearly four decades later. Supporters see consistency and newly assembled detail; skeptics see a polished restatement of claims whose essential evidence is still unavailable. The documentary’s strongest contribution is preserving the current form of Lazar’s account and showing why it continues to shape reverse-engineering culture.

I've had two sightings. The first in central California desert in 1979. The second near my home in the Bay Area near Hamilton AFB in 2000 or 2001. They're both in MUFON's files. I attended one of Steven Greer's first conferences and have been researching ever since. I just watched S4: The Bob Lazar Story on Prime and found it very interesting. Just for those who may get something from it.
Fairly new to the topic and doing research. There seem to be a whole bunch of whistleblowers but after a while it seems like it’s the same core group of names and each have a slightly different spin/approach on things. If you have watched the film "S4: The Bob Lazar Story", he mentioned that in the hangar there were multiple crafts and one that he could see was a top hat shape craft leaning against the wall with a massive bullet hole going through it. To my surprise Eyes On Cinema as always did an amazing work digging out an old footage from 2008 that has a clear video of one that looks exactly like a top hat!
