[Serious] A story so important he told it twice: Why is the plot of Spielberg’s Disclosure Day so similar to the 2002 Taken miniseries?

I’m not suggesting the character WAS based on Mellon.. but I just finished the Taken series last night and it hit me! They are just way too similar, eh? What do you guys think?

I’ve been thinking a lot more about whether Spielberg knows something and has been asked to make certain movies such as Close Encounters of the Third Kind, ET, Taken, and Disclosure Day to prepare people for a big reveal of something. I seem to be seeing a videos on social media on this topic, so thought I’d ask what this community thinks about the above, or is it simply coincidence? What do you think?

Please bear with me as I know many people are tired of discussing the film, but I can’t stop thinking about it. I watched Taken (2002) last month on the advice of this subreddit, then Disclosure Day last night, and was struck by the similarities in plot points. Namely, the focus of both on: the abduction experience, hybrids, aliens in disguise, remote viewing, invisibility powers, a government conspiracy to cover up the phenomenon beginning with Roswell, as well as the exploitation/harm of re...

While watching TAKEN (2002), I noticed a license plate that the camera seemed to hold on for a while: EX-627. Out of curiosity I looked it up, and toward the bottom of the first page of results (quick Google search, wasn't gonna look past page 1) I found Experiment 627 from Lilo & Stitch, also released in 2002... I'm not usually one to look for details or hidden references. To me Spielberg seems to be all but confirmed to be in the know about some stuff. So I've been paying good attention to...

I was rewatching Taken from Spielberg and suddenly see this. He knew it already how it will play out by government 😂.

Search for the channel called “Superboy: Beyond (Remasters)” on YouTube. It’s so much better looking than the original. (Remastered to 4K using AI) 10 episodes, each running for 90 mins. Spielberg’s recent comments about “looking forward to the day when people realize it was all true from the beginning” piqued my interest to finally watch this series. And so far it’s pretty awesome. Enjoy

Rewatching Taken after ~20 years… hits very differently now

Hey everyone, I’m rewatching Taken (Spielberg mini-series from 2002) for the first time in almost 20 years, and honestly, I’m enjoying it way more than I expected. The first time I saw it, I wasn’t really into UFOs or any of that (I was a teenager). But over the past year I’ve gone deep down the rabbit hole, and now it’s wild how much of the lore shows up in the series. Stuff like the Lockheed references or mentions of the Hills just hits completely differently when you actually recognize it....
