The Sentinel reports that a Montrose Search and Rescue update referenced work with technical experts on cell phone forensic data in the Monica Reza case, and that no follow-up public disclosure of the results was identified in the record it reviewed.

Law enforcement confirmed they ran cell phone forensics. The results were never disclosed to the civilian search volunteers who spent months on the mountain looking for Monica.

The Sentinel reports that a Reddit observer documented the deletion of the civilian Facebook group shortly after a phone-related theory involving Subject A was posted there, while noting the reason for the deletion is unknown.

The Sentinel argues that the limited public discussion of phone-forensic results in the Reza case differs from the more detailed public reporting around phone-location data in the Julian Sands case.

In the Sands case, they released the data. In the Reza case, they acknowledged running the forensics in a post that was later removed, and disclosed nothing.
