Canada's immense airspace spans major cities, remote northern approaches, busy transatlantic routes, and the shared U.S.-Canadian air-defense system operated through NORAD. Reports of unfamiliar objects enter several channels—air traffic control, Transport Canada's occurrence system, police, the military, and civilian researchers—without historically flowing into one permanent national UAP office. That geography also makes coordination across civil and defense authorities unavoidable.
The Office of the Chief Science Advisor launched the Sky Canada Project in 2022 to examine that fragmented reporting system. Its final report did not attempt to determine whether extraterrestrial visitors exist or to investigate individual sightings. Instead, it mapped how public reports are received, found that few agencies routinely compile or investigate them outside their own safety and security mandates, and recommended a more coherent, transparent approach to public information.
Canada also became central to the February 2023 high-altitude-object sequence. Canadian and U.S. aircraft responded jointly to objects over Yukon and the Great Lakes, and an American F-16 shot down an object over Lake Huron. The 2023 F-16C Lake Huron UAP Shootdown remains relevant because recovery ended without publicly identifying the object, while officials placed the action within a heightened air-defense posture after the Chinese surveillance-balloon incident.
Canada's record thus joins two distinct issues: routine public reporting of UAP, and state responses to objects that may pose an aviation or security concern. Sky Canada made that distinction explicit. The country's significance lies in its unusually clear recent examination of the reporting gap, not in an official conclusion that unexplained Canadian cases share one cause.

This was a loaded question, no doubt about it. The non answer is unfortunately what keeps the stigma surrounding the UAP topic alive. It feels like a 50s or 60s troll effort at an uncomfortable question he probably should have ignored. How a small moment can lead to big ripples of ridicule. And for heavens sake, please think about the Martians! They didn't ask to be mentioned in all of this. We saw this as a group of 4, it made a perfect circle pattern as shown in the video for roughly 20 minutes before we went inside (we were hungry/scared).
