The Sol Forum is a video series produced by the Sol Foundation, the UAP research and policy nonprofit co-founded by Stanford immunologist Garry Nolan and anthropologist Peter Skafish. Published on YouTube, it consists of long recorded conversations with scholars, researchers and public thinkers about UAP and other anomalous phenomena. The foundation describes the series as an effort to bring context and seriousness to a subject it says is often handled through speculation or sensationalism. Skafish, the foundation's executive director, hosts, and members of the foundation receive early access to new episodes.
The series was under way by 2025. Its fourth numbered episode featured Jacques Vallée, who discussed patterns in reported encounters and revisited his "control system" theory, and an October 2025 episode paired astronomer Beatriz Villarroel with Nolan to discuss her search for transient objects in sky images taken before Sputnik. Each full episode is also cut into short "Sol Forum Clip" videos, which the foundation released several times a week during the summer of 2026, each paired with an appeal for memberships.
Materials research has been a recurring subject. In a March 2026 episode, Nolan presented results from new testing of alleged UAP materials, including fragments associated with the 1957 Ubatuba case in Brazil. Shorter clips on the Ubatuba material and on the need to replicate such findings circulated through the summer. In June 2026 retired Navy Rear Admiral Tim Gallaudet joined Skafish to discuss disclosure, whistleblowers, the possibility of hidden legacy programs and ocean-based UAP research.
The series took on a closer link to federal policy after the formation of the UAP Science Advisory Council in 2026, on which Nolan sits. In an August 2026 episode, economist Robin Hanson, another council member, drew on his work on the Great Filter and expanding civilizations to ask how likely it is that some UAP are not of human origin. Days later council chair Avi Loeb and member Anita Goel joined Nolan and Skafish to discuss the council's work with the U.S. government, the data it is seeking and plans for new field research and sensors. In a clip promoted from that episode, the foundation said Nolan discussed David Grusch's and Eric Davis's claims about alleged UAP recoveries and vouched for both men's character and credibility.
The Sol Forum is the Sol Foundation's continuing public-education outlet between its symposia. It gives a credentialed circle of researchers, several of them now advising the federal government on UAP, a regular platform to set out hypotheses, laboratory results and research agendas in their own words.
