Colm Kelleher is an Irish-born biochemist and research administrator who became a major figure in privately funded investigations of anomalous phenomena. After scientific work in cell and molecular biology, he joined Robert Bigelow’s National Institute for Discovery Science and later held a senior role with Bigelow Aerospace Advanced Space Studies. Those organizations investigated UFO reports, unusual animal injuries, and activity at Skinwalker Ranch.
Kelleher’s scientific background involved immunology, biochemistry, and laboratory research before his work moved into anomalous studies. Inside the Bigelow organizations, he operated as a manager connecting investigators, consultants, medical reports, databases, and sponsor requirements. That role was less visible than the ranch’s witnesses or owners but crucial to turning scattered incidents into a program of work. His later books effectively became participant histories of institutions whose internal files remain only partly public.
Kelleher helped manage research performed under the Defense Intelligence Agency’s AAWSAP contract beginning in 2008. Public accounts describe a broad program involving case databases, technical studies, site investigations, and reports of medical effects among personnel. Kelleher later co-authored books about Skinwalker Ranch and the Pentagon program with George Knapp and James Lacatski. Much of the underlying contractor record remains unreleased, so public understanding depends heavily on documents and recollections from participants.
Kelleher connects scientific training, private aerospace organizations, Skinwalker Ranch, and official UAP history. He has treated anomalous events as potentially involving both physical and biological consequences, including the reported spread of experiences beyond a location. His career is important not because every reported phenomenon has been verified, but because he helped run sustained, funded investigations that shaped later government and disclosure narratives.
