Her own UFO comments were brief and politically calibrated, but they carried weight because she had occupied offices with access to diplomatic and national-security information.
UFO disclosure entered Clinton’s political orbit through longtime adviser John Podesta, who publicly advocated release of government records. During the 2016 campaign, Clinton said she wanted to examine the files and used the newer term UAP in an interview. Emails later released from Podesta’s hacked account showed approaches from advocates and public figures seeking meetings about extraterrestrial life and government secrecy. Those messages document access attempts and interest; they do not prove the claims made by the senders.
Clinton helped move UAP disclosure into mainstream presidential campaigning by promising to examine records and by answering questions that major candidates had usually avoided. Her adviser John Podesta’s correspondence also revealed the network attempting to reach a future administration. Together, those episodes made her candidacy an important chapter in the history of presidential UAP statements, even without a public confirmation of extraordinary government holdings.
