Jared Moskowitz is an American Democratic politician who served in the Florida legislature and led the state’s Division of Emergency Management before winning election to Congress in 2022. His emergency-management work included hurricane response and pandemic logistics, giving him a practical orientation toward agency performance and public accountability.
Moskowitz moved from the Florida legislature to leadership of the state’s emergency-management agency, where hurricanes and the COVID-19 pandemic made rapid coordination a defining part of his record. Elected to Congress in 2022, he brought an energetic, media-savvy style to oversight.
