A newly released Department of Defense FOIA release centers on internal email communications tied to Pentagon spokesperson Christopher Sherwood and UAP-related terminology. The records come from a targeted request for emails sent to, from, copied to, or blind-copied to Sherwood using terms such as “Unidentified Aerial Phenomena,” “UAP,” and “UAPs.”
Another push came from Federal Secrets Task Force Chair Representative Anna Paulina Luna, who on 31 March 2026 wrote to Secretary of War Pete Hegseth requesting more than 46 UAP videos by 14 April 2026.
