Jennice Vilhauer is an American clinical psychologist, author, and executive consultant based in Los Angeles. She earned her undergraduate degree in psychology at UCLA, a doctorate at Fordham University, and completed postdoctoral research training at Columbia University. Her career has included leadership of outpatient psychotherapy programs at Emory Healthcare and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, as well as consulting work with Korn Ferry.
Vilhauer developed Future Directed Therapy, an approach that helps patients shift attention from repeating the past toward building desired future outcomes. She described the method for general readers in Think Forward to Thrive and has written extensively about depression, motivation, expectation, and emotional well-being. Her professional background is therefore in clinical psychology and behavior change, not astronomy or aerospace engineering.
In 2026, Vilhauer joined the Disclosure Foundation’s advisory board and participated in discussion of how individuals and institutions might respond if authorities announced evidence of non-human intelligence. She has emphasized that such an event could challenge identity, religion, trust, and basic assumptions about reality. This places her work near ontological shock and post-disclosure scenarios, where psychological preparation is often discussed more than clinical evidence.
Vilhauer does not claim to determine whether UAP are extraterrestrial or to possess classified knowledge.
