Katie Pavlich is an American conservative commentator, author, and television host. Since January 2026 she has anchored Katie Pavlich Tonight, a weeknight political talk show at 10 p.m. Eastern on NewsNation, after a long run as a news editor at Townhall and a contributor at Fox News. Her connection to unidentified anomalous phenomena is through her show's coverage, which in 2026 regularly featured witnesses, researchers, and officials in the disclosure debate.
Born in Phoenix in 1988, Pavlich earned a degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Arizona in 2010 and spent about sixteen years as news editor of the conservative site Townhall. Her 2012 book on the Fast and Furious gun-trafficking operation and her 2014 book Assault & Flattery both reached bestseller lists. She became a Fox News contributor in 2013, served as an alternate co-host of The Five, and guest-hosted several of the network's primetime programs.
NewsNation announced her hiring in December 2025, giving her the 10 p.m. slot, and Katie Pavlich Tonight premiered on January 19, 2026, with an interview with President Trump on its second night. Pavlich described the show's approach as facts first and opinion second. Its debut drew modest ratings, and critics pointed to her hire, alongside other former Fox News personalities, as a sign of the network's rightward turn.
UAP stories became a regular strand of the program. In 2026 she hosted former Marine Michael Herrera on his account of a 300-foot craft in Indonesia, alongside Steven Greer, who argued such craft were human-made; Disclosure Day screenwriter David Koepp; a pastor who described intelligence-linked briefings on UFOs for religious leaders in Nashville; and physicist Eric Davis on alleged recovered biologics. She asked viewers what to make of the government's first UAP file release in May, and her show reported the death of longtime NewsNation contributor Nick Pope. Separately, investigative journalist Catherine Herridge used the program to report on suspected directed-energy attacks, a related but distinct story.
Pavlich's significance in the UAP record is as a mainstream conservative host who gave the subject a primetime cable audience during the 2026 disclosure push. Her show is one of several NewsNation programs, alongside Ross Coulthart's reporting and other hosts' segments, that made the network the most consistent cable outlet for the topic.
