Katie Pavlich Tonight is a weeknight political talk show on NewsNation, airing at 10 p.m. Eastern and hosted by conservative commentator and author Katie Pavlich. The network says it "offers a conservative take on the day's events while welcoming all viewpoints," and its format combines debates, panel discussions and newsmaker interviews on politics, culture, immigration, national security and foreign policy. Unidentified anomalous phenomena became a regular strand of the show in its first year.
NewsNation announced Pavlich's hiring on December 15, 2025, after she left her long-held post as news editor of Townhall and her Fox News contributor role. The show took over the 10 p.m. slot formerly held by Ashleigh Banfield and debuted on January 19, 2026, the same night as Jesse Weber Live at 11 p.m. Its second episode carried an interview with President Trump timed to the first anniversary of his second inauguration. Reported audiences were modest: about 58,000 viewers for the premiere and 75,000 for the Trump interview, figures that drew critical coverage.
Most episodes deal with the political news of the day. In 2026 the show covered the national debt passing $40 trillion, the midterm campaigns, the reopened Cornell University sexual assault case, the murder trial of former "American Idol" contestant Caleb Flynn, calls to ban kratom after the deaths of two University of Mississippi students and Hurricane Isaias, with guests ranging from Bill O'Reilly to Rep. James Comer and occasional guest hosts.
Its UAP guests have included some of the subject's most contested voices. In May former Marine Michael Herrera described his account of a 300-foot craft in Indonesia and said his camera's memory card disappeared before military officials pressed him to stay silent, and Steven Greer discussed whether a cluster of earthquakes near Area 51 might reflect underground government testing; in June Greer warned that current government panels could become a "dead end." Author Miguel Sancho said the topic had moved from fringe to mainstream, a pastor described briefings on UFOs that he said military contractors gave religious leaders, and in August physicist Eric Davis claimed the government holds "a minimum of four" nonhuman species and said he would need immunity to say more. Days later NewsNation correspondent Ross Coulthart urged the president to grant whistleblowers blanket immunity. Investigative journalist Catherine Herridge separately used the show to report on suspected directed-energy attacks, a related but distinct story.
Katie Pavlich Tonight brought the disclosure debate to a conservative primetime audience, largely by giving witnesses and advocates extended airtime to state their claims. Within a year of its launch it had become one of several NewsNation programs where the subject appeared alongside the night's political news.
