The Jellyfish UFO is the nickname for an object in infrared footage from a U.S. base in Iraq, leaked by Jeremy Corbell in 2024, that AARO assessed in 2025 as a cluster of balloons.
"Jellyfish UFO," or jellyfish UAP, is the popular name for a dangling, tentacled shape seen in military infrared video recorded over a U.S. base in Iraq, and by extension for similar-looking objects reported since. The footage shows a rounded body with trailing appendages drifting across the installation. It became public in January 2024, when the filmmaker Jeremy Corbell released it, saying it had been leaked to him and that the Pentagon had officially designated the object a UAP.
Corbell and early news coverage dated the video to 2018 and described it as thermal or forward-looking infrared footage from a joint operations base. Corbell said the object crossed the base, moved over water and made what he called "a controlled descent before submerging," later re-emerging and leaving at high speed; unnamed sources added that it was invisible to night vision and interfered with targeting. A former Marine surveillance controller at the base, Michael Cincoski, told NewsNation that the video came from an aerostat, a tethered camera balloon, that the object had been seen at the end of 2017 and that personnel called it the "spaghetti monster." He called it "the ghost story of the base." A Defense Department spokesperson, Sue Gough, said the department did "not comment on the authenticity of alleged DOD material that may have been leaked."
On April 29, 2025, the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office published its own 17-minute version as the "Al Taqaddum Object." AARO said an infrared sensor on a force-protection aerostat near Al Taqaddum Air Base had recorded it in October 2017 and assessed that the object "was a cluster of partially and fully inflated balloons." It said the object's appearance matched other recorded balloon clusters and that full-motion video analysis, pixel examination and the aerostat's location data showed no anomalous performance. AARO said a full case resolution report would follow.
The shape has kept resurfacing. People associated with the UAP company Skywatcher have described a "Class VII" jellyfish, and in March 2026 the Stanford immunologist Garry Nolan recounted, at a Skywatcher event, a helicopter pilot's account that a jellyfish-like object caused a loss of controls; no documentation of that incident has been made public. In August 2026 the nickname attached to a speck a few pixels across in a 2023 Curiosity rover image of Mars. The Iraq footage remains the reference case: a leaked military video whose promoter's account and AARO's balloon explanation can be compared directly.
This video was filmed on November 5, 2024 in Bozeman, MT. This UAP matches the irregular-organic category of UAP outlined in the Immaculate Constellation report, and also resembles the famous “jellyfish” UAP video. USG insiders have long talked about UAP exotic technologies and their transmedium abilities, but usually in the context of water and not land. Since UAP are theoretically moving within their own space-time environment, they can move through water, earth, rock, humans, etc. The only...

So the NASA Jellyfish UFO that was photographed on Mars had been released recently, but it reminded me of the photo on the right which showed a cave painting of a UFO looking thing with long limbs/tentacles. It got me thinking is it possible that the Jellyfish UFO that was photographed on mars had visited earth in the past? Like some type of probe? The way the two images had some similarities to each other. It’s floating in the air, it has around 3-4 visible limbs, it’s colored pitch black, a...

Everything still going as planned. So, how is everyone enjoying Phase 3? Here's is a link to the article about the image of the jellyfish ufo captured by the Mars Rover: https://www.ibtimes.co.uk/jellyfish-shaped-ufo-bizarre-figure-standing-mars-surface-vanished-less-minute-later-1814270

16/ The Curiosity photograph can't really tell us what appeared above that Martian ridge. The Iraq Jellyfish remains officially classified as balloons, despite the continuing disagreement that surrounds the footage. Together they highlight a form that keeps appearing around the edges of the UFO topic, something fluid, organic and difficult to reconcile with ordinary aerospace design. Science has already shown that plasma can form stable, complex and life like structures. Government studies ha...

🚨NASA's Mars Rover Captured a "Jellyfish UFO" Then It Vanished 13 Seconds Later NASA's Curiosity rover photographed a strange jellyfish shaped object on a distant Martian ridge. Researcher @KariSivertzen discovered it and now its taken the internet by storm. The image of the Jellyfish shaped object is there in one image but in an image of the same terrain taken just 13 seconds earlier nothing is there. The object is only a few pixels across, so nobody can honestly identify it from the photog...

"An unearthed NASA image of Mars has captured a strange object in the distance, which some have suggested was a jellyfish-like being or mechanical device. NASA's Curiosity rover, which has been investigating whether Mars could have supported microbial life for the last 14 years, snapped the image on August 20, 2023 at around 6.27pm ET. It shows the dusty Martian landscape with rocky hills and large mountains. However, the panorama also revealed a small figure in the left corner that appeared...

The first two Photos are from the footage released today that was taken in the UAE, I just think they look slightly similar to what has been called the jellyfish yap. The jellyfish yap, is often reported in the Middle East, and of course my main reason for thinking is because there is something low hanging but I hope we get more footage!
