CUOMO is the weeknight 8 p.m. Eastern program hosted by Chris Cuomo on NewsNation, the Nexstar-owned cable news network. The network bills it as "a no-nonsense show featuring the day's most important news from all perspectives," and episodes typically combine Cuomo's own commentary with interviews and debates between guests from opposing sides. Unidentified anomalous phenomena are a regular strand of the show rather than an occasional novelty.
The program premiered on October 3, 2022, marking Cuomo's return to television after CNN fired him in December 2021, and it replaced the weeknight edition of NewsNation Prime. Cuomo said at launch that the show would not be "typical" cable fare and aimed to be less partisan than its competitors. In its first weeks he interviewed Kanye West and challenged the rapper's antisemitic remarks. At the end of 2025 NewsNation said CUOMO was its highest-rated show.
Cuomo also anchors some of NewsNation's special events from the program. In October 2026 he and Stephen A. Smith led "Decision Desk 2026: Have Your Say," a live national forum ahead of the midterm elections, and a weekend spin-off, "Cuomo Crime Time: Weekend Edition," took up cases such as the Lindsay Clancy mistrial. Regular 2026 episodes covered immigration enforcement, a Supreme Court decision on voter-roll checks, Benjamin Netanyahu's address to the United Nations and a suspected plague outbreak in Russia.
UAP segments became frequent in 2026, usually featuring NewsNation special correspondent Ross Coulthart and former Pentagon official Lue Elizondo. In April, as reports of missing and deceased scientists spread, Coulthart said he saw a lack of connections between the cases, while Elizondo said some of the individuals shared "common ties" to the UAP topic. After the Pentagon released more than 160 files in May, both men called the batch underwhelming; later panels on the second and sixth releases added Harvard astrophysicist Avi Loeb. Coulthart called the government's migrant-themed aliens.gov website a "puerile" bait-and-switch, filmmaker Jeremy Corbell discussed the orbs in the June release, and Elizondo used the show to answer Coulthart's claims that he had once been involved in covering up evidence. In October Cuomo announced an interview with Jay Stratton, the former director of the UAP Task Force, about his memoir "Out of the Shadows."
Among NewsNation's evening programs, CUOMO has given the disclosure story some of its most regular airtime. That coverage has come mainly through repeat appearances by a small circle of advocates and the network's own correspondent, set inside a general news and opinion hour built for a broad primetime audience.
