Probed Analysis

The UAP Science Advisory Council is a federal expert group announced in 2026 and chaired by Harvard astrophysicist Avi Loeb. Reporting initially described it as a White House body, but subsequent correction identified the Office of the Director of National Intelligence as the establishing institution, created in response to President Trump’s UAP transparency direction and coordinated with AARO, the FBI, and other agencies.

The council brings together specialists in astrophysics, instrumentation, artificial intelligence, numerical analysis, and related technical fields. Its purpose is advisory: members can recommend data standards, analytic methods, sensor strategies, and research priorities, while operational agencies retain custody of cases and classified systems. Its practical authority depends on a clear charter, access to relevant data, agency cooperation, conflict-of-interest controls, and a channel for reporting findings.

Loeb’s parallel leadership of the Galileo Project gives the council experience with ground-based scientific observation but also prompted debate over his public extraterrestrial hypotheses. Scientific advice is not an endorsement of a preferred explanation. The council’s value will come from testing competing hypotheses for UAP, including ordinary objects, sensor effects, foreign systems, and genuinely unresolved observations, with methods that can be inspected and repeated.

Because the council is new, claims about its success or conclusions are premature. Its institutional significance is the effort to place outside scientific expertise alongside defense and intelligence analysis after years of criticism about poor data and limited transparency. A credible outcome would include documented methods, disclosure of uncertainty, publication of unclassified results, and a boundary between advice based on accessible evidence and speculation that cannot yet be tested. Its first reports will therefore matter as much for defining a scientific workflow and public baseline as for any conclusion about particular cases.

Avi Loeb was named chair of the UAP Science Advisory Council in June 2026. The council was set up with the White House, AARO, ODNI, the FBI and the wider intelligence community, and it reports to a UAP Governing Board that first met in mid-June. Per Scientific American, it has no budget of its own beyond some travel costs for members. Meanwhile, the first release of government UAP records, cleared May 8, 2026, was heavily redacted, with many videos carrying little or no context. So an unfunde...

The first paper from the UAP Science Advisory Council, posted recently here, analyzed a swarm of six infrared dots moving in a coordinated fashion. Encouraged by the match between DOW-UAP-PR135 and the birds in the Galileo Project’s data, Jacob went on to apply the same analysis method to all the sensor video released so far in the six tranches of PURSUE. This brought the count up to 10 PURSUE videos containing a total of 25 bird candidates. This count amounts to about 8% of the sensor videos...

I agree. https://t.co/fZHpfreYH7 [Quoted] People are saying there's no point in Stratton talking to the UAP Science Advisory Council because he can't tell them anything classified and they have no subpoena power. But he says this on page 1 on his new book: "To this day, my wife and I, our now-adult children, and even our family dogs, all regularly deal with encounters with NHI." He doesn't need to tell them anything classified and they don't need to subpoena anyone to go observe, record and a...
